What happens to our voice recordings?+
They stay yours, and we guard them. We store recordings encrypted on secure servers and never share or sell them to anyone. The card itself holds no audio; its tap chip carries only a link.
Is any of it AI-generated?+
No. A foxtale is a real person your child loves, reading a real book aloud or telling a real memory, in their own voice. We don’t write stories with AI, we don’t use synthetic narration, and we never let AI touch your recordings.
Do you need photos or details about my child?+
No photos, ever. A foxtale is made from a voice, a book, and a first name for the keepsake. That’s everything we ask for, and we never feed it into AI platforms, use it for marketing, or pass it to anyone else.
How does tap to play work?+
Each card carries a paper-thin chip — the same technology as a hotel key. Hold any phone near the card and the story plays instantly. There’s nothing to install, charge, or pair.
Which phones can play a foxtale?+
iPhones and modern Android phones play a foxtale with a tap. Every card also carries a short web address, so any device with a browser can listen.
How long can a story be?+
Up to sixty minutes per card: enough for a stack of picture books, a chapter, or a long memory told slowly. Many families record a short introduction and a sign-off, just like a real production.
Can I re-record before it’s sent?+
As many times as you like. The guided session includes a rehearsal read, and you can listen back and retake any part before you approve the card for pressing.
What if a storyteller in my bundle is slow to record?+
Your status page shows who’s finished and who hasn’t, and we send warm reminders on your behalf. You can close the box and ship at any time; late storytellers can send their card separately.
What happens if a card is lost?+
The recording lives safely in your family archive forever. We’ll press a replacement whenever you need one — same title, same name, same voice.
