We believe in the power of stories to bring families and communities closer together
We felt the challenge of finding meaningful and personal gifts for our nieces and nephews, so we recorded stories for them. And now as new parents, we want the same gift for our daughter: for her childhood to be shaped by the people we love through storytime, even though they may be far away.
Prior to Foxtales, Andy helped communities stay connected during the pandemic at Zoom, and Katherine captured patients’ stories at Abridge. We’ve stumbled on so many special moments both recording and listening to stories from our family and friends. We can’t wait for you to find those moments of your own.
Foxtales was launched out of the Stanford Venture Studio by founders Andy Kim, Stanford MBA ’27, and Katherine Choi MD, HBS MBA ’23. Andy is from Richmond, VA and studied English Literature at Dartmouth. Katherine is from Columbus, OH and studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Andy moved to Boston in 2021 where he met his wife Katherine.
Foxtales donates read-aloud stories to hospitalized children and supports childhood literacy initiatives in the SF Bay Area.
